Volunteering through Travel2Rwanda was an incredible experience that exceeded my expectations. From the very beginning, the booking process was smooth and efficient. They took the time to understand my interests and matched me with the perfect volunteer placement. The orientation days were pretty insightful and filled with valuable information about the culture (which I had an idea or two about of course) but also my specific role at the host organization. This thorough preparation made me feel confident and excited to dive into the work. What truly impressed me was the Travel2Rwanda team itself. They are all young, energetic, and passionate, and they created a truly positive and supportive work environment. The four weeks I had to work flew by really. And since I was volunteering as a communications lead, I got to work on really cool projects that the host organization is doing with women and young people ( I didn't wanna mention the organization since this review isn't about them, but I will also write a review for them on their page) The T2R package included a trip to Musanze, and that was the icing on the cake. I got to explore the stunning Rwandan scenery and have some chill and rest after a fulfilling experience. There are also highlights of my travels included trekking to see mountain gorillas, exploring the stunning landscapes, and visiting national parks.
