Itinerary details

Day 1: Arrival & Kigali Art Scene (Afternoon)

• Arrival in Kigali, airport transfer, and hotel check-in.
• Afternoon: Explore Inema Art Gallery showcasing contemporary Rwandan art.
• Attend a traditional dance performance at Kimisagara Youth Center.
• Welcome dinner and briefing, highlighting the Ubumuntu Arts Festival and the itinerary.

Day 2: Ubumuntu Arts Festival (Full Day)

• Immersion in the Ubumuntu Arts Festival, attending workshops, performances, and
exhibitions across various artistic disciplines.
• Engage with artists, participate in discussions, and discover diverse artistic expressions from
Rwanda and beyond.
• Evening: Attend a headline performance at the festival, experiencing the talent on display.

Day 3: Artistic Kigali & Nyamirambo Market (Morning)

• Explore the Nyamirambo neighborhood, known for its vibrant street art and craft markets,
especially the Nyamirambo Women Centre.
• Interact with local artists, purchase unique souvenirs, and witness the creative energy of the
community.
• Afternoon: Free time to relax or pursue independent artistic exploration in Kigali.

Day 4: Northern Creative Corner in Musanze (Full Day)

• Scenic drive to Musanze, a hub for artistic expression in the Northern Province.
• Immerse yourself in the Northern Creative Corner:
o Attend an Agaseke weaving workshops led by local artists, exploring traditional and
contemporary art forms.
o View exhibitions showcasing the region’s artistic talent and cultural heritage.
o Interact with the Creative Corner’s community, fostering cultural exchange and
learning.
• Overnight stay in Musanze.

Day 5: Ubumuntu Arts Festival & Reflection (Full Day)

• Return to Kigali and continue experiencing the Ubumuntu Arts Festival.
