Itinerary details

Day 1: Arrival & Introduction

• Arrival in Kigali, airport transfer, and hotel check-in.
• Afternoon: Brief city tour, including potential photo opportunities at local markets such as
Kimironko and other cultural landmarks.
• Welcome dinner at the Kigali Centre for Photography, and briefing on the itinerary,
highlighting photography opportunities throughout the tour. A brief photography
masterclass: Learn camera settings, composition techniques, and ethical wildlife
photography practices.

Day 2: Akagera National Park (Full Day)

• Early morning departure for Akagera National Park, Rwanda’s largest protected area.
• Morning game drive focusing on photographing diverse wildlife, including lions, elephants,
giraffes, zebras, and various antelope species.
• Night camp inside the park with night photography

Day 3: Akagera National Park (Full Day)

• Early morning boat trip on Lake Ihema, offering unique photo opportunities of waterbirds
and hippos.
• Afternoon relaxed session of reviewing captured images, discuss post-processing techniques,
and receive individual feedback.

Day 4: Volcanoes National Park (Full Day)

• Scenic drive to Volcanoes National Park, known for its lush rainforests and mountain gorillas.
• Short hike to a scenic viewpoint for landscape photography opportunities.
• Afternoon: Optional golden hour photography session at Lake Kivu, capturing the stunning
sunset over the water.
